Example 2 - 2007 Repaint of 1993 Restoration

This home had been over-sided with cement board shingles.  In order to attach this new siding material a continuous flat wall surface was required.  Thus all architectural features of the original construction that projected beyond the plain of the adjacent wall were ripped out.  Removing this retrofitted siding would have exposed a thoroughly butchered house.  Restoration to original configuration would not have been cost effective.  Therefore in 1993 the decision was to restore the existing structure.

Subsequently our Company has performed additional upgrades.  In 1997 we designed and built the cedar deck spanning the rear of the home.  In 2007 in conjunction with our repaint new insulated window units were installed throughout the main floor.

By any measure this is a most durable and attractive home.

(12) Completion
Surfaces have been scoured clean of grime, loose paint, and degraded concrete.  The new paint is now tightly bonded to sound masonry surfaces.
Driveway concrete and sidewalks have been aggressively stripped of the degraded concrete on which algae thrive.  Thus the reappearance of algae will be long delayed.
