Example 2 - 1995 Restoration of 1911 Construction
This home had scarcely lacked maintenance over its eighty-four years. However it was primarily of the “scrape and paint” variety. Sanded smooth the dense straight grained old growth cedar and fir were briefly revealed. Then followed a multiple step finishing regimen: two prime coats, extensive caulking, an elastomeric base coat, and two finish color coats. Now nearing one hundred years in age, the home is well protected indeed as it approaches its second century.
